Aqua-Tech Recruitment are working with an engineering company in the water industry who are looking for a UK Sales & Commercial Manager to join their rapidly growing team.
Although based in Cumbernauld at the moment, the company is moving to Grangemouth or Falkirk in the next few months.
The client conceives, develops and delivers a suite of intelligent pump-monitoring and anti-ragging solutions, built around their unique and patented technology.
They are rapidly expanding their operations in the United States, and now deliver solutions to clients across the UK, Ireland, Continental Europe, North America and further afield.
Job purpose:
Responsible for pursuing, developing and implementing growth opportunities in new and existing markets for Industrial Flow Solutions (IFS) range of products in the UK, specifically Deragger, Oil Minder and OverWatch products. Evaluate, negotiate and execute opportunities in support of these products. Identify and engage potential channel partners, leveraging market and competitor data to attract. Work directly with all UK and Ire utilities to identify framework opportunities, planning in advance and submitting tender responses in timely fashion to be considered for all relevant AMP opportunities.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Responsible for achieving or exceeding annual sales and orders growth for Deragger, OverWatch and Oil Minder products, in line with business revenue growth objectives.
• Review, identify and monitor all Framework opportunities for IFS range of products with all UK and Ire water utilities.
• Submit tenders for all suitable opportunities in timely fashion to ensure all upcoming AMP opportunities are exploited.
• Develop and identify suitable channel partners for IFS range of products, particularly within commercial and industrial sectors with specific focus on the OverWatch and Oil Minder products.
• Develop sales strategies and account plans for each channel partner with annual goals, objectives and quotas to support fulfilment of growth strategies.
• Provide applications knowledge, pricing, and support to execute orders; support channel partners in developing and delivering technical and commercial quotations for their end markets.
• Conduct a detailed market analysis and utilize research and trends to identify gaps, prioritize and engage channel partners to fill gaps.
• Create financial models/presentations and performs research in support of such business transaction and sales strategy.
• Lead the on-boarding of new channel partners, ensuring smooth and immediate transition to IFS product platforms, continuously building effective relationship.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 7+ years of outside sales experience or distributor management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical submersible pumps and electrical control panels.
• Experience in a mechanical/electrical manufacturing environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation, persuasion, relationship management and negotiating skills.
• Can be productive with minimal supervision – self-starter.
• Has the ability to learn quickly and advance upon what has been learned.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to use computers and software programs including, MS Office Suite.
• Experience with ERP software.
• Travel is required.

• Potential to build a sales team to support channels and utility clients as sales growth is developed.
